Chibra / Kharbooza (Indian Melon)
A unique melon from the Surat region of India. Can be eaten unripe, while still green, and tastes like a fresh, crunchy cucumber. Can also be eaten ripe, when the skin turns bright yellow and begins to crinkle. Flavor is similar to a muskmelon. Not too sweet, but extremely flavorful.
Especially delicious when both the unripe and ripe melons are eaten together with salt or chaat masala!
