Husk Cherry or ground cherry (Physalis peruviana) is a relative of the tomato. Native to the Andes region of South America. This variety has been around since the Incan times! Plant is a prolific producer of yellow/orange cherry sized fruit in a papery wrapper. Plant is a perennial in zones 10-12. Can grow up to 5 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Delicous and full of vitamins and minerals.

Our seed is originally from Pakistan. In South Asia they are typically used to make a Cape Gooseberry Chutney.
