Henna Plant

from $20.00

Botanical name Lawsonia Inermis. Henna is a perennial tropical shrub cherished for it leaves which are dried, crushed into a powder then rehydrated to make mehndi, or henna dye! The plant bears tiny white flowers that are said to be as fragrant as Indian Jasmine (Mogra).

The plant takes on a shrub/small tree formation. It can be grown outdoors in Zones 10-11 or indoors as a houseplant elsewhere. If planning to grow outside, I suggest growing this plant in a pot for 1 full year then planting outside next Spring once chance of frost has passed. From my experience, this plant has grown vigorously with little to no extra care.

If growing indoors, provide ample sunlight and heat. Allow the plant to dry out between waterings. Do not mist the leaves. Plant thrives in hot, dry conditions.

1 gallon pot - $20
2 gallon pot - $30
3 gallon pot - $40
