SOLD OUT

Lemongrass is an aromatic tropical grass in the Poaceae family. It can grow in a variety of soils making it a great plant to have in the vegetable garden. The roots grow quickly and the stalks grow by division so lemongrass is not a good plant for pots. Provide ample sun and consistant waterings and watch lemongrass take off.

Perennial in Zones 8 and higher. In colder climates, the plant can be dug up, stalks trimmed to just a few inches and placed in a pot to overwinter indoors. Come Spring you can replant the stalks back outside.

Once stalks are 12” tall, pull individual stalks out as needed. Make sure to leave at least a few stalks so they can continue to divide and produce. The grassy tops can be used throughout the season for teas and impart a similar aoma and flavor.
